C88 June

Hey, everyone!  I’m really feeling this month’s theme. It is way too hot here in northern California and my cats and I have had enough! I’ve been threatening to drag my boyfriend to the beach for weeks and this theme was a sign! All week long I’ve been sweating to the oldies a.k.a. using the computer and singing 90’s pop songs (that’s all it takes to make me sweat) while working on cute beachy clothes and day dreaming about the salt air and how to write the longest run-on sentence. I’ve got four new items in five recolors. There’s something for every girl whether you’re in the market for something that says “solid gold dancer” or “grandma on her first date”!

Flapper

So I know this post is about half a month late. I vanished into a black hole for a bit but now I’m back! I gotta say I really enjoyed this month’s C88 theme a whole lot! I love doing period piece stuff. While my pic above is definitely my modern interpretation of a flapper girl’s spirit, I have a soft spot for stuff that’s pretty historically accurate, too! I spent a lot of time reading about the flat chested, young boyish style of the 1920’s and even bought a book of tons of old patterns. I was really struck by three different outfits in the book so I decided to make them. Hope you had fun dressing up this month!

Hi, guys! I was way late last night but my items are up! As usual all my clothes are built to fit standard sized avatars and come with free demos to make sure they fit! The bikini is modeled especially tight to the standard sizes so if your shape differs from them it may not fit you. Be sure to demo! I’m in the process of getting last month’s items out in my store and up on marketplace with lots of new recolors. If you didn’t have a chance to get them keep your eyes peeled for my next post.

I’m in the process of adding my old C88 stuff to marketplace. I have quite a few left to add but I got a good chunk up there. Some items with brand new recolors/textures! They aren’t in the shop yet, I need to make more room in there. Until then you can get them here.

3am C88 Post!

While I still have enough sanity left let me first say that for this months collabor88 I’ve made a long, loose T. It comes in quite a few color options: Plain theme colors, polkadots and stripes. With so many projects coming up I didn’t have much time to do something very elaborate this month but on the plus side these shirts are super versatile!

p.s. Sorry for the low quality ads! The keyboard for my main computer broke out of nowhere. It was either that cup of tea I spilled on it or the farts my cats like to blast on it while I’m trying to watch netflix.   My tablet is also hiding somewhere on the floor under a pile of clothes and I just don’t have the will to lean slightly to the right to feel around for it soooo… touchpad drawn logo for you! Also I’ve said February so many times in my head trying to make sure I spelled it correctly that it doesn’t even sound like a word anymore. I really need to stop typing… I hope you all have fun at c88 this month! And hopefully you’re all asleep right now!

For this C88 round I made a big baggy knit sweater that fits over a simple collared dress and some uneven knee high tights (the bottoms are base layers so you can wear shoe alphas). Please please please be sure to demo! In some poses where the arm joints are bent at extreme angles the dress can poke through the sweater a smidge. It doesn’t bother me too much because it’s just in certain poses but if you can’t stand things like that, demo demo demo to see if it’s gonna bug ya!

I’m late I’m late for a very important date

So sorry I’m late guys! I’ve been working since about 3pm and jeez it’s now 5am! I was really hoping to get everything done on time but sadly I greatly underestimated the amount of work I had. Anyway, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty:

Hopefully you can tell who is who in that picture but just in case you can’t I’ve got Edie Sedgwick top left, Bridget Bardot top right, Twiggy bottom left and Peggy Moffitt bottom right.

All the girls come with a layer for the brows, eye makeup and one with both (Bardot has teeth as well because really, how could I not?). They also come with brow shapes because to get the brows to look accurate I had to draw them in places that might look funky on the brow shapes you’ve got already. And if you totally hate them, just wear the eye makeup layer! Or if you want some funky brows without all that 60’s magic caked on your eyes well, you get the idea. Please make sure to try the demos! 60’s makeup doesn’t like to obey the second life uv so please make sure you look fab before you buy!

p.s. – The I’m not even heading to bed yet, I’m working on the base skins until I pass out! Hopefully they will be done later today or Saturday morning. Keep your eyes peeled!

Some words before I put the skins out in a few days.

I’ve thought long and hard about what I think people would like to see different in my skins. Here are the changes I’ve made:

• Different eyebrow shape options
• A smooth skin and a dewy one
• Freckles
• Cleavage option
• Totally added a vag for all y’all. Gonna start making vagina necklaces for etsy next.
• Smoother stomach
• Lighter shading around the face so your features shine through.
• Many many skin tones!

So having done all that I realized that I’ll have to put my makeup on tattoo layers. If I didn’t it would take me weeks just to do the recolors and then I’d have to charge a ton for the skins to make up for all the time. Ain’t nobody want that! The last thing I want is to spend days and days saving, renaming, upoading, saving them in sl and then doing all the vendors. Not-uh!

Anyway here comes the confusing part:

I’ll be releasing the full skins at Fashionably Dead in Tableau. However I’ll be making some makeups for it at Collabor88 (just to be clear, I’ll be releasing the base skins and the makeups on the 8th but in different places).  I would have liked to release the skin sooner but I’ve had a hard time getting the face to look detailed but still versatile. I think I’ve drawn at least five different faces! Hopefully you like it! If you don’t please send my CSR Jezibell Thorne a notecard detailing what you don’t like and I’ll do my best to put that information to good use!
